Ashley R. Nyce

Ashley Nyce is a Visiting Professor of Law at Boston College Law School where she co-teaches the Civil Litigation Clinic. Prior to joining Boston College, Ashley was a supervising attorney and clinical fellow at Georgetown University Law Center where she taught in the Health Justice Alliance Law Clinic, a medical-legal partnership that provides holistic advocacy for children and families facing legal barriers that negatively impact health - including education, housing, family, and public benefits matters. Ashley entered clinical teaching following years in public interest advocacy with a focus on special education and child well-being. As a coordinating attorney in the Special Education Unit at the New York Legal Assistance Group, she worked with families and healthcare providers to advocate for appropriate educational services on behalf of students with disabilities attending traditional public and charter schools in New York City. Ashley also served as a Guardian ad Litem at the Children's Law Center where she provided comprehensive representation for children in Washington, D.C.'s abuse and neglect system. Prior to law school, Ashley taught third grade at a public charter school in Detroit, Michigan.

Ashley received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, her LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, her M.A. in Education from the University of Michigan Graduate School of Education, and her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
